Since 2007 Mr. Jagai has also championed the cause of numerous private clients in their personal actions. In September 2012 Mr. Jagai represented Claimant Roger Rampersad against T & TEC in H.C.A S-923 of 1999 whereby Roger Rampersad was awarded over $1,000,000.00 in damages.
Mr. Jagai has also been actively involved in legal aid clinics providing pro bono advice and services for persons unable to afford Attorney services. He also participates in Professional Mentorship programmes for young law students. He is a Member of the Southern Assembly of Lawyers and a former Executive Member and Public Relations Officer of the San Fernando Business Association.
Mr. Jagai made the decision to start Leo Animi Law Chambers to provide a more personalized legal service to clientele. Mr. Jagai has been previously briefed as Counsel by numerous Companies in the Insurance Industry including but not limited to Guardian General Insurance Limited; Massy United Insurance Limited; Motor One Insurance Company Limited; and NAGICO Insurances ( T & T) Limited.
Additionally, from 2014, Mr. Jagai has been Briefed as External Junior Counsel on behalf of the State Solicitors Department and the Office of the Attorney General in a variety of matters including but not limited to: breach of contract; constitutional law; extradition; judicial review; and police inquests.
Further since 2014 Mr. Jagai has appeared as Junior Counsel on behalf of several State Enterprises and Departments of the State including but not limited to Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago; Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Company; The Chairman of the Board of Inland Revenue; and The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance and Economy.
